I was hoping we would breeze through this part or avoid it altogether, however it seems as if Stephen has entered a difficult but necessary process called a “healing crisis.”

He was in a lot of pain last night and had a fever this morning. Apparently when the body undergoes a drastic change in treatment (in Stephen’s case from drugs to alternative therapy and from not eating to a clean organic diet) there is a period when the body is overwhelmed as it tries to get rid of all the toxins.

The doctors have ordered blood cultures and an ultrasound to rule out any infections.
